Welcome to our Classes & Courses section!

Down Under Dive Shop offers a variety of courses and classes, from basic "Discover Snorkeling" and "Discover Diving", all the way through certifying PADI Instructors to teach Scuba. The Dive Center is a PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) 5 Star IDC Training Facility, meaning that all of the instructors are certified by PADI and adhere to the organization's standards and guidelines. These instructors offer a range of PADI Certifications, including Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, and Rescue Diver, as well as specialized courses such as Divemaster and Instructor Development. These courses are designed to teach individuals the skills and knowledge necessary to safely and confidently dive in a variety of settings.

Summer Camps/Youth Diving

The PADI Seal Team is for young divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by doing exciting scuba AquaMissions.

Bubble Maker Program

Experience scuba diving under the direct supervision of a PADI Pro. Take your first breaths underwater in water shallower than 2 metres/6 ft. For children who are at least 8 years old.

PADI Team Seal

The PADI Seal Team is for young scuba divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by completing exciting AquaMissions. Do cool stuff in the pool, and meet friends.

Open Water Diver

PADI® Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. A highly-trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment.

Discover Scuba Diving

Want to find out what scuba diving is like before deciding to get your PADI Open Water Diver scuba diving certification? During a Discover Scuba® Diving experience, you can try scuba diving for the first time in a pool or calm water environment.

Advanced Open Water

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing your skills. You'll practice navigation and buoyancy, try deep diving and make three specialty dives of your choosing (it's like a specialty sampler platter).

PADI Dive Master Course

Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational scuba diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program.

Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

Enriched air, also known as nitrox or EANx, contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. No wonder Enriched Air Diver is the most popular PADI® specialty.

Wreck Diving

Through the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course, you get the skills, knowledge and procedures you need to answer the call of wreck diving.

Freediver Course

The Freediver Course is aimed towards any individual who is interested in exploring the underwater world with freedom of no SCUBA.

DSAT Gas Blender Course

The Gas Blender course will train you as a qualified gas blender, allowing you to provide gas mixes to appropriately certified consumers.

TEC 40 CCR

Are you interested in technical diving? Consider this course an "intro" to Tec. It is the first subdivision of the full PADI Tec Deep Diver course.

Open Water Scuba Instructor Course

Become a Scuba Instructor! The first portion is the Assistant Instructor course followed by the Open Water Scuba Instructor program.

Rescue Diver

The PADI® Rescue Diver course will change the way you dive – in the best possible way. Learn to identify and fix minor issues before they become big problems, gain a lot of confidence and have serious fun along the way.

PADI Sidemount Diver

Sidemount diving enables a unique way of buoyancy control resulting in a more streamlined profile that reduces drag.
