First-Aid & Safety Workshop

Down Under Dive Shop is proud to present a comprehensive diving first aid and safety workshop, conducted by our team of certified instructors. This hands-on training will provide participants with the essential skills and knowledge to handle emergency situations while diving. The workshop will cover a wide range of topics, including managing shock, injury, and administering oxygen.

Our PADI certified instructors are experienced professionals who have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in diving first aid and safety. They will provide participants with a thorough understanding of the equipment, procedures, and protocols required to manage emergency situations. The training will be conducted both in the classroom and in the water, providing participants with the opportunity to practice the skills they learn in a realistic environment. Lunch will also be included.

This workshop is suitable for divers of all levels, from beginners to experienced divers, and is an excellent opportunity to improve your diving skills, knowledge and safety. 

Some of the key takeaways from the course include:

1. Understanding of the equipment, procedures, and protocols required to manage emergency situations while diving.
2. Knowledge of the signs and symptoms of common diving injuries and illnesses, and how to administer first aid.
3. Familiarity with the use of oxygen equipment and emergency oxygen administration techniques.
4. Hands-on training in the use of emergency signaling devices and emergency evacuation procedures.
5. Practice in assessing and stabilizing a diver in distress and providing emergency care in both the classroom and in-water scenarios.
